Experience:
One year hospital surgical tech experience. Technical expert in a least one tertiary service. Competency to scrub major procedures in at least 2 specialty services.
Education/Training:
High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Surgical Technology training program; or U. S. Military Medical Core Training; or completion of an equivalent on-the-job training program with 7 years recent surgical tech experience.
Licensure/Certification:
National certification as Surgical Technologist required. CST certification by the Surgical Technology Association renewed every five years. Maintains current CPR certification.
This position is scheduled as needed. There are no medical benefits associated with this position.
