Experience:
Five (5) years of related experience required including strong functional understanding of systems is required. Hospital Information Systems (HIS) experience a plus. Procedure Scheduling System experience a plus. Hospital or Healthcare Office Management experience a plus.
Education/Training:
Bachelors Degree in Healthcare or related field required.
The Manager of Diagnostic/Interventional Imaging Business Support works with the Operational Leadership of the respective imaging areas as well as with staff, physicians and external customers to coordinate the business initiatives of the imaging diagnostic and interventional areas including Radiology Services, Cardiac Cath Labs and Dr Phillips and Electrophysiology Labs.
- Proactively identifies and assists in implementation of all ambulatory and/or acute care clinical operational business services.
- Focuses on scheduling patients for service and throughput.
- Responsible for charge management processes related to the imaging areas.
- Provides oversight and accountability for compliance, productivity, and the professional development of their immediate direct reports and staff.
- Responsible for planning, developing, prioritizing and implementing business changes within these areas as needed to meet strategic objectives. Collaborates with operational leadership for successful outcomes.
- Provides education, facilitation and consultative services which will lead to the improvement of operational efficiency, revenue optimization and expense control. Effectively documents and reports process changes that lead to operational improvements and financial objectives.
- Provides education and tools for the operational teams to improve overall clinical operations and financial outcomes.
- Actively participates in the selection, implementation and use of information systems as they relate to the operations of the imaging areas and serves as a liaison with Information Services. Contributes to the validation of the ROI of all installed systems.
- Works proactively with administration, finance, charge management, patient financial services, coding and compliance, nursing and ancillary management to ensure appropriate clinical business performance. Works with corporate councils to assure accurate clinical capture of services and data related to those services. Collaboratively works with charge management to oversee site specific as well as system wide processes for documentation, charge capture, reconciliation and revenue enhancement.
