Experience:
One year of hospital RN experience required. Previous endoscopy experience required.
Education/Training:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education.
- Meets all mandatory and developmental requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
Licensure/Certification
Current license in the State of Florida renewed every two years.
Current BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association required.
- Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, mentor for staff, unit educator and/or nurse clinician.
- Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to effectively plan and manage the unit/ department.
- Serves as role model for staff and supports the hospital and nursing department goals and strategies.
- Enhances the clinical competence of the unit/ department staff by providing general and unit specific education.
- Review research and other forms of evidence regarding identified clinical problems.
- Communicate research findings and other forms of evidence and assist clinical team to incorporate into practice.
