This is a Clinical Informatics Specialist position at Orlando Health. Clinical degree is required, either Bachelor's or Associate's in nursing or allied health. If Associate's, best candidate will have Bach. degree in non-clinical area. Three (3) years of active and progressive experience in an acute care patient setting.
(Associate clinical degree requires an additional 4 years of related clinical and/or information services experience.) Licensed clinician with current Florida license in area of specialty by the Florida Department of Health (i.e. RN, RRT, PT, etc.).
Nursing Informatics Certification by The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 2 years of hire renewed every five years.
Project management skills necessary to coordinate multi-phase, multi-discipline projects working with all levels of staff. Previous business or clinical analytics experience preferred.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for ensuring consistent use of clinical information technology for patient care. This position would be responsible for analyzing data related to clinical processes and outcomes, and using that analysis to assist in development of future state workflows to maximize the benefit of Clinical Information technology. This position will focus on understanding ARRA HITECH rules and requirements and will work with Clinical Informatics Leadership as well as Medical and Clinical staff leadership to implement system changes required for ARRA Compliance.
